Eva Moon skewers romance, sex, high tech and pop culture with smart, funny original songs. It's a tasty blend of Jazz, Cabaret & Comedy. If you've ever lost your heart to a chocolate bar, lusted after the UPS guy, or traded a man for a vibrator, she has a song for you.
In RL Eva Moon plays with her five-piece band, the Lunatics. In SL she performs with piano or backed up by quality recordings of her band. All originals. No covers.

7 pm - Wendy Curtiss - singer/songwriter with passion!
Wendy Curtiss is a consummate, seasoned, entertainer/singer/songwriter and guitarist. Her experiences have covered years and miles of travel. Starting out first, in the state of Connecticut, she eventually decided to settle in the state of Washington, after playing in California, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Utah. She even did shows in tourist cities in Mexico!! For a period of 6 years, she traveled and worked with Hotel chains like Best Western and Holiday Inns, playing 6 nights a week and performing requests and the hits of the day. After tiring of the road and its lack of roots, she settled in the Seattle area of Washington and continued to perform regularly on a nightly basis.
Wendy has produced 4 CDs of original material, recording with the finest musicians the Northwest has to offer. Give her a listen. Her strong, soulful vocals and creative guitar style will capture your heart!

About Conscious Lounge, 1.1.08. Version 1.0.
Conscious Lounge is a dance, media, performance and meeting space in Second Life, focused on hip hop, electronica and spoken word, as well as video and performance art. All events are free, although donations to the artist and the space are always welcome.

9:30 am - Welcome to Conscious Lounge! A quick tour of our spaces, and what we are doing. New folks welcome. ^_^
10 am - Lag4Peace meeting. Planning future actions + whatever gets added to the agenda. All are welcome; contact any1 Gynoid or solidad Sugarbeet for details.
Noon - Open/facilitated discussion on left issues; topic will be announced a few days before the discussion. Last week, we had an engaging conversation about the situation in Pakistan; this week...who knows? We'll see how the week unfolds.
2 pm - CL expansion blowout PARTY! We now have two spaces, one of which is in the amazing activist and non-profit community Commonwealth Islands (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Commonwealth%203/129/16/32); also, the original space has been extensively expanded and overhauled, as in: - 120 seat capacity - over 12,000 m2 - more djs and live music - two classrooms - a theater - vendor space (social justice tees and such) and a commons - and dj mycki spins badass electro, hip hop and drum n bass for the gig! Come feel the /thump, and celebrate! WOOT! :D :D :D

7 am - SECRETS OF SL ACTIVISM! Empowerment teach-in at at CL 2 (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Commonwealth%203/129/16/32). Please Join Us! This is an Empowerment Teach-In for SL Social Activists! Learn valuable skills that your will apply to you next protests, discussions, social actions, charity benefit parties, and Woodstock-like music festivals. Taught by Any1 Gynoid, Solidad Sugarbeet and other activists, who have organized numerous large 20 or more avi discussions, Protest Actions, and Live Music mega-events attracting 700 to 1300 visitors each day for groups such as Drive-By-Agony and Lag-4-Peace.

(Not a CL event, but definitely in solidarity)

Planned: Special Music Programme. BENAZIR BHUTTO (Born: June 21, 1953, – Assassinated: December 27, 2007) was a Pakistani politician who chaired the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), a centre-left political party in Pakistan. Bhutto was the first woman elected to lead a Muslim state... twice elected Prime Minister of Pakistan. Peace Be Upon Her!

Second Life resident any1 Gynoid facilitated an amazing training on organizing events in Second Life. The event was well attended (nearly 40 avatars), and received lots of gushing praise! Way to go, any1!
